Rusanna Fribus - designer shows her first collection

Neuss. She has just completed her training in fashion design when Rusanna Fribus is already presenting her first collection.

Rusanna Fribus designed a special evening wear under the motto “Glamour Sport”.

As a five-year-old girl in her native Russia, Rusanna Fribus decorated matchsticks with flowers and dreamed of a career as a fashion designer. 20 years later, models present the clothes from their own label “Rusanna and Joe” at their first fashion show in Neuss. Last night she presented her designs for the first time at the racetrack.

The 25-year-old is ambitious – there is no other explanation for the fact that the German-Russian completed her training at the private fashion school in Düsseldorf, even though she has a small son. “It was a difficult time, but my mother supported me,” says Rusanna Fribus. At the end of the training she designed a final collection under the theme “Glamour Sport”. “I combined sporty cuts with glamorous details,” she says.

At the presentation of her label, which is named after her and her seven-year-old son Jonathan, the Neuss native showed six different women’s lines with a total of 30 items of clothing, all of which are from the evening wear sector. “It just suits me particularly well and there are no limits to my creativity when it comes to evening wear,” says the 25-year-old. She describes her fashion as elegant, stylish and harmonious. “I like it flashy and classy,” says the young mother. Glam Rock, Lady and Lace Fabric are the names of her lines that she sees on young women. What they all have in common is always an integrated eye-catcher, such as Swarovski stones, satin ribbons or so-called cut-outs, large cutouts in the clothing. She is inspired by materials or high heels. “When I see extraordinary shoes, I simply apply the concept to my clothes,” explains the designer. The fashion show is intended to be the breakthrough of “Rusanna and Joe” and the start of sales in the online shop that will soon be set up.

She wants to win customers and know how her fashion is received. That’s why she has set big goals when it comes to the audience. “I sent Heidi Klum, Claudia Schiffer and Verona Pooth an invitation,” she says. The Neuss native has already received a rejection from German designer Harald Glööckler. The moderated show is an open event. “Many friends and acquaintances helped me to realize this event,” says the designer and lists the helpers, from the tailor Mustafa Tezgör to the make-up artist Kami Zero. In addition to a successful evening, the organizer hopes to find further sponsors who will support her work.
